What is Longarm Quilting?

Longarm quilting is a term originally used to describe the size of the sewing machine. Now, it is used to describe a quilting process where the quilt layers are attached to a table (the frame) and the machine sits on a platform also on the table. This allows the machine to move freely across the surface of the quilt top and stitch the layers together.

The longarm quilting machine makes quilting a completely new experience. It combines the creativity of hand quilting with the speed and accuracy of machine quilting. And, it makes it easy on the quilter!
